  1. Hello there,

It will depends WHERE you are going. In my home town everything will be closed on Sunday and Monday. It is usually the case no matter what. For some reason they close of Mondays as well every week.

As well, something I always have to remember when I go back, is the fact that stores close for lunch time. I am so used to have them open all day here (including Bank holidays) that I always end up going out for nothing and coming back later.

Big cities like Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille will probabaly not close all their stores. however, most people will choose to do so. It will depend on each management.

    Hope it helped.

  2. In France normaly shops don't open on sundays. You must have an autorisation to open. But in Paris most of them in popular areas or some shopping malls are open on sundays. The rest of the days everything is open but not at night.

Most of the time shopping malls are open from 9am or 10am to 7pm not stop.

  3. Most shops are closed on Sunday. The only way to buy some groceries is to go to "épiceries" (small market) and it's usually quite expensive. So better think about it on Saturday.

Some shops are opened on Sunday in touristic areas. As for Monday 9th, expect everything to be closed like on Sunday, because the Monday following Eastern is a holiday in France, and plenty of people are not working this day.

  4. i don't know it exactly but i believe the shops are open between 2 and 9 april

but the little shops will be closed on sunday only the big malls will be open on sunday.
