The new recruit from Chievo Verona has stated that he would like to stay at the Rossoneri for another decade, and insisted that he is motivated to make his dream come true.
Francesco Acerbi has voiced his enthusiasm at joining the ranks at AC Milan, and has stressed that he wants to remain at San Siro for another ten years.
The new signing from Chievo Verona was presented by the Rossoneri to the media for the first time, where he lent some words on his future ambitions.
Acerbi stated that he is delighted to sign with a club like AC Milan, and insisted that he would like his relationship with the Milanello to last a decade.
The Rossoneri defender insisted that he is aware that realization of his dream is a huge challenge, but maintained that he is up to the task.
The Italian centre-back insisted that he would like to work on his tactical skills as a player, and elevate his proficiency pertaining to the transition of the ball from defence to the attack and vice-versa.
While talking to the press, the 23-year-old said:
“Arriving at Milan is fascinating as I know this is a wonderful club. I want to stay here for 10 years, not just a single year, so I have to do well. I would like to improve in a tactical sense. We must always improve. I like to help the midfield and attack
but it is important to return to defence if we lose the ball.”
Acerbi went on to stress that his tenure at Chievo has seen him grow tremendously as a player, and insisted that he is happy to have achieved a level of consistency that has caught the attention of a club like AC Milan.
The Rossoneri centre-back added that he is yearning to be a part of the Diavolo’s extraordinary legacy, and mark the beginning of his stint at San Siro with a great season.
“The walls are covered by so many pictures of success. I want to win too, I hope to have a great season and to assert myself.”
