The Bianconeri manager stresses that Udine is his home, and he will not leave it; insists that quality and talent of the squad has allowed the Little Zebras to continue dreaming.
Francesco Guidolin has voiced his change of plans, and insists that he will stay at Udinese for the next season.
The Bianconeri manager earlier stated that the intense season has left him exhausted, and he wants to take some time off from the game. The tactician also stated that his health cannot take another 50-game campaign, and suggested that he may not be there
at Udine for the next season.
Patron Giampaolo Pozzo spoke in response to Guidolin’s statement, rejecting any such possibility, and maintained that the Zebrette manager will return to the club next season.
Now, the former Parma manager has confirmed that he is not going anywhere.
The Udinese coach stated that Udine is like his home, and there is nowhere else that he wants to go. The tactician insisted that he just wants to put his feet up at his house.
While talking to the press, the 56-year-old said:
“This city is my home. I won’t be going anywhere else. I’ll now just go to my house and rest for a while.”
The Zebrette chief led the Bianconeri to a third-place finish in the season, and consequently the Bianconeri have also qualified for UEFA Champions League for the second time in running.
Guidolin stated that he just did the job he was hired to do, and insisted that the successful run would have been impossible without the players, that were provided to him by the club.
The tactician passed on the merit of his victory to his squad, stating that the Bianconeri owe their success to excellence of the talent in the squad, and insisted that the quality of the players have allowed them to continue their dream of a UEFA Champions
League.
“I just did what was expected of me. The club gave me some valid players to work with and those who are good proved that. The merit goes to the players who have talent and quality. They’ve allowed us to dream for the last two seasons.”
Guidolin’s contract with Udinese extends until 2015, and he has already stated that his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 at Udine will be his last at an Italian outfit.
