The Zebrette chief believes that Edy Reja’s injury complains are a hoax, and insists that the club should feel proud to be contending for the Champions League second time in a row.
Francesco Guidolin has slammed his opponent Edy Reja’s grumble over the injuries facing Lazio, and insists that the match against the capital club is of central importance to their campaign.
Udinese are set to play http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 in the upcoming clash between the two UEFA Champions League qualification hopefuls. The Zebrette are currently placed fifth, while the capital club stand fourth in the Serie A standings, with just
four games left to be played in the league.
Guidolin stated that the upcoming match is of supreme importance to the campaign of the club, and insisted that the game could end up deciding the eventual winner of the coveted their spot in the league. The tactician insisted
that the crunch battle means a lot for the club, and that will give the players some extra motivation to perform their best in the game.
The Bianconeri coach stated that a defeat at the hands of Lazio will be absolutely catastrophic for their season. However, he insisted that the club can take a lot of pride from the fact that they are in close contention of European
qualification for the second time in running.
While talking to the press, the 56-year-old said:
“This is certainly a very important match and a play-off for third place, so that must give us extra motivation. For the second year running we are right up there challenging for a place in the Champions League. If we do not win,
then our hopes for third are notably damaged. Therefore, this is ‘The Game.’ As for the Europa League, that is still open to us.”
Guidolin insisted that it does not suit a manager in like Edy Reja to complain about injuries in his team. The Bianconeri tactician insisted that he could also cry over injuries, but yet he chooses to go down a different road and
play with the remaining players.
The Zebrette chief insisted that the difference is in the way the two managers like to deal with things.
