The Bianconeri manager believes that the threat of Italian Champions cannot be ruled out despite their inconsistent form of late; and hails Massimo Ambrosini
Udinese manager, Francesco Guidolin, has refused to rule out the threat posed by A.C Milan ahead of their clash against them.
The Bianconeri will host the defending champions in matchday 23 encounter of the season on Saturday, 11 February 2012. Both teams are genuine contenders to win the Scudetto in the ongoing season. However, Milan have witnessed a
poor recent run, which has seen them suffer a defeat and a draw in their last two league matches. The Champions come into the game on the back of a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Juventus recently.
Despite their struggles of late, Guidolin is expecting a strong backlash from the Rossoneri. The manager insists that Milan deserved to win the league last season, and they have always put the oppositions on the back-foot.
The Udinese boss believes that the Rossoneri can rule in the Europe, and there is still a lot of room for improvement within their ranks.
While talking to the reporters, Guidolin said,
“Milan deservedly won the League last season and wherever they play they try to control the game immediately. I think they are a team that can compete with the biggest in Europe."
“We are taking part this season as protagonists, but to remain on top and try to move forward in Europe is hard and expensive. You say that Milan are not themselves with their absences? I tell you that I expect the real Milan tomorrow.I
care about tomorrow and I know that that if we are not focused, attentive and good, it will be very tough.”
Udinese have also been inconsistent of late, as they have failed to win in their last two league matches. However, they have an unbeaten home record, having won ten of the 11 games played at Friuli. The Zebrette are placed 4th
in the league table, only three points behind Milan.
