Totti set a high bar for himself for the upcoming season, however, he stated that the club needs to enhance the quality of the squad if they are to challenge for the top honours. The former Azzurri national team player will be
working with Zdenek Zeman after a 13-year absence, and Totti stated that he is familiar with Zeman’s ideology on football.

Totti went on to state that reaching the levels of Juventus and Milan would need good quality signings to enable them to close the gap between the two sides. He refrained from naming any players but mentioned that they should be

The 35-year-old went on to state on his preferred position for the upcoming campaign. Totti played as a wide attacker against the Serie C side, a match which the Giallorossi went on to win 9-0. He stated nothing had been finalised
and remarked:
“As Zeman said yesterday, it isn’t a final decision. In that wide role he’s looking for someone to make deep runs which is not really within my characteristics.”
The one club man went on to state that he would be at the disposal of his Coach and would be willing to play in any position that the Prague born tactician wanted.
