"I wanted to get it next Sunday, I swear! I'm afraid of [Lazio]."
The AS Roma skipper, however, denied that his booking had anything to do with the game against Lazio in mind. The yellow card picked up against Parma means that Totti will miss Giallarossi’s next weekend clash against Atalanta,
hence effectively eliminating the risk of picking up a suspension for the match against city rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775.
Roma limped to a 1-0 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Donadoni’s men, as they failed to make most of their chances once again. Totti is pragmatic about his side’s inability to penetrate the opposition goal more often, and feels that they were
lucky to win the game.
The Roman star commented:
"The goal came in the first half and we created a lot in attack but we missed a lot of chances in the second half and this made the game difficult. When you're only 1-0 up, the slightest drop in concentration can scupper all of
your hard work.”
Despite that, Totti has appreciated that the team remained focussed and played with extreme caution throughout the 90 minutes.
The win over Parma moves La Maggica to the fifth position in the league table, four points behind Lazio and Udinese.
Totti’s teammate, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 are in a prime position to finish third in the Serie A. The Giallorossi vice-captain believes that his team can take advantage of Udinese and Lazio’s inconstancy of late, and
can move above them in the standings.
The Italian international heaped praise on manager Luis Enrique for the hard-work he has done since his arrival at the Stadio Olimpico Rome this summer.
Roma will travel to Atalanta for their next game before hosting bitter rivals Lazio next week.
