The Giallorossi legend might follow in the footsteps of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726 and reveals fan behaviour the main reason behind his decision
The talismanic striker has stunned the football world by claiming that he is thinking about leaving the Stadio Olimpico Rome. Totti is believed to be unsettled at the club since the change in management before the 2011/12 season.
An American group lead by Thomas Di Benedetto took over the ownership of the capital club in summer. Wholesale changes were made from boardroom staff to influx of new players at the club. Totti is believed to be unhappy with the
appointment of team coach, Enrique and General Manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050 Baldini. The striker wants a say in the matters of the club as he used to have during the Sensi era but he has been confined to a role on the pitch only.
Totti is also unhappy with the new role handed to him by Enrique in his tactical plans. The striker has been deployed on the left flank but he prefers a central role. However, the former Italian international denied a rift with
the coach or any of his teammates and insisted that he is not happy with the way some of the fans treat him. The 35-year-old admitted that he will leave the club if things do not improve in the near future.
While talking to the reporters, Totti said,
“Yes, I have been thinking about that, especially recently. If things continue this way, then I will continue to reflect on that option. If someone thinks I’m the problem, then I can step aside. I am not referring to the Coach,
the club or teammates, but rather to a few fans.”
Totti emerged from the youth setup of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 in 1992 and has spent his entire career with the Giallorossi thus far. The striker has made more than 600 appearances for the capital club and has scored 262 goals to date.
The Italian is unarguably the best player in the club’s history and has rejected the opportunity to join the likes of Real Madrid and A.C Milan in the past.
