The Bordeaux coach is hoping that not playing in the midweek will help Les Girondins as they look to return to winning ways starting from the game against Sochaux on Saturday

fine run of form as they prepare to host FC Sochaux-Montbeliard at Stade Chaban Delmas this Saturday.
While talking to reporters, Francis Gillot stated that his side will benefit from a week off and not playing in the midweek will help Bordeaux to large extent. The break has allowed the players to take some much needed rest and the result of that was seen
in the training on Wednesday.
The boss feels that players are feeling pretty fresh at the moment and Les Girondins are in good shape to face Sochaux at the weekend.
“We needed this break; I think it has made us feel better. Some players feel refreshed and on Wednesday we saw a real intensity to the training.”
Gillot added that while a lot of teams were busy playing in Coupe de la Ligue, his players are fresh and it’s nice to have a full week without a match.
"I've seen players with freshness and it’s nice to have a full week without a match."
On the other hand, Sochaux coach, Eric Hely, who has worked under Francis Gillot at Stade Auguste Bonal, is a huge fan of the Frenchman and has praised Gillot ahead of Saturday’s game.
"I enjoyed working with him, our relationship was very cordial, we collaborated and held a discussion every Friday morning to talk about players ahead of the weekend. He told me not to hesitate to ask questions and he would answer me honestly.”
Praising Bordeaux coach, Hely said that there are not many coaches out there who are as good as Gillot and he is like one of the best in the business.
"He is a person I like, he is a genuine."
