The Bayern Munich winger is confident of that Bayern can beat the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery has revealed that his side are fearless and have the ability to beat any team in Europe. He was talking in the wake of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final draws where Bayern have been paired with
French Ligue 1 side, Olympique Marseille.
Ribery has responded to comments from some of the current and former Bayern players who have stated that the Reds are lucky to avoid http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 or Real Madrid in the last eight. The winger claims that the Munich giants would still
have qualified if they were to face any of the two Spanish outfits instead of Marseille.
Ribery showed his delight at Bayern’s recent form especially in the last two games where they had been ruthless. Jupp Heynckes’ men have altogether scored 14 goals against Hoffenheim and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Basel-c39079 in their last two outings which
provides them with a decent chance of progressing further in the European competition.
While talking to official UEFA website, uefa.com, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international further added:
"If that [facing Madrid and then Barca] is the case, then there will be no problem. We have no fear. We are FC Bayern. We hide from no-one. We had a difficult phase. But now we are working well in attack and that helps the team
defensively. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 is back in great shape. Everything is clicking with us again."
On the other hand, the former Marseille star also commented on his club’s chances of winning this season’s Bundesliga. He reckons that Bayern could easily close the five-point gap with Borussia Dortmund but stressed at the importance
of winning all the remaining nine games including the game against the Borussians next month.
"Five points you can make up. We will try everything to win the remaining games and then we'll see what happens in the league. We have to win in Dortmund [on April 11] and then anything is possible!" Ribery concluded.
Bayern are currently second in the league standings with 51 points from 25 games and will next be in action against the capital club Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 on March 17, at the Olympiastadion.
