The Bayern Munich and France winger feels that he is back to his best after his disappointing show in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Franck Ribery is elated with his recent form for Bayern Munich and is hopeful that he continues his goalscoring form for his country also. He was talking in the wake of his side’s 2-0 win over Schalke on Sunday, February 26, at
the Allianz Arena. The Frenchman bagged a brace for his side in the 36th and 55th minute as Bayern claimed all three points.
The France international admitted that he had a horrible 2010 which included a disastrous World Cup campaign in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/South-Africa-c757. However, Ribery reckons that 2010 was the most embarrassing period of his life and no longer wants to
discuss it.
The former Olympique Marseille player apologised to his fans and assured them of putting in more than one-hundred percent for his country. The winger has been named in the French squad for the upcoming friendly against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904
on Wednesday, February 29, in Bremen.
While talking to sports publication Le Parisien, the 28-year-old further added:
"I will not lie to you: it [2010] was horrible. Really. I lived the darkest period of my life. But it is behind me and I do not want to talk about it anymore. I have turned the page. I am a happy man again. The whistles are always
hard to understand. What I did at the World Cup was wrong and the fans can blame me for that.”
On the other hand, Ribery accepted the fact that he feels more comfortable playing for Bayern Munich than for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. He believes that there is more freedom when he plays for the Bavarian giants and therefore he gets more chances
of scoring goals for his club than he gets to score for his country.
"At Bayern, I have rediscovered the pleasure of playing. Here, my body is completely free. With Les Bleus, everything I do is a bit more strained,” Ribery concluded.
The former Olympique Marseille star took his season’s tally to 10 goals from 22 league games after scoring twice at the weekend. The winger aims to continue this momentum as Bayern prepare for their trip away to Bayer Leverkusen
on Saturday, March 03.
