Franck Ribery on his way to Stamford Bridge
According to rumours that have emerged recently, it seems like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are looking to re-launch a move for French wing sensation Franck Ribery.
Chelsea went on to spend a whopping 75-million pounds in the January transfer window, when they signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Luiz-c10542, but the Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich is apparently looking to have a major clear-out at the club and is looking
to bring in a host of new faces at the end of the season. However, he seems to have placed Ribery on top of the list of players to come into the side.
It is being reported that the clear-out, that is being planned at the club includes the departure of the likes of; http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yuri-Zhirkov-c37683. If that is the case, then it seems like the French winger,
Ribery will come in as a direct replacement for the current French winger, Malouda.
The 27-year-old winger had previously been on Chelsea’s hunt list, but due to an outrageous set of demands by Bayern Munich, his move to Stamford Bridge did not go through. However, the team is looking to re-launch a new bid for the player, in hopes
that they will be able to land the player for much cheaper than he was initially going to cost the Blues.
According to most experts, if Chelsea are to move in for the player, then they are going to have to fork out around 30 to 35 million Euros for his signature. A move for the winger to Chelsea could prove to be just what Chelsea need in their attacking
third. This is because the team is currently lacking a great sense of creativity up-front and a player like Ribery can manage to do just that. Ribery has great vision, a sense of creativity and lightning pace. All those skills along with his ability from the
dead-ball, make him one of the most lethal players in the world at the moment.
Nonetheless, the move might not be as easy as it seems on paper. This is because Ribery is also being pursued by Real Madrid as well. The Spanish out-fit is reportedly willing to meet the player’s evaluation by including Kaka in the mix. If that is
the case, then Munich will be more than happy to go ahead with the offer from Madrid, however, if Chelsea can manage to financially outbid their Spanish rivals, then Ribery could be found running around in a blue strip at the start of next season.
