Bayern Munich winger, Franck Ribery, has said that he will do whatever he can to support France national team manager Laurent Blanc ahead of the Euro 2012.
Since the disgraceful end of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/South-Africa-c757, the relationship between France national team fans and Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery have been strained. While recognising the efforts that has won over the fans of the German Bundesliga
outfit, the winger is yet to win over the fans of Les Bleus.
While giving an open interview to RTL, the Frenchman spoke about himself, Laurent Blanc and his aspirations. Ribery says that he is still not at the top of his game but he is trying whatever that is necessary to reach the required level.
Throughout his career, Ribery has had his fair share of critics. However, the Frenchman is certainly not bothered about what certain individuals have to say about him.
“Now of all things, critics do not affect me at all, I just think of football, to have fun like I do now and I hope that the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 team, it will be the same thing here.”
Ribery then added that he is finding his feet and will show how willing he is to become an integral part of Les Bleus. The former Marseille man has never really liked giving interviews but chose his occasion well and even defender the national team boss
Laurent Blanc.
Blanc’s future with Les Bleus has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks. The former World Cup winner is not getting along well with France Football Federation president Noel Le Graet. Le Graet does not want to extend Blanc’s contract beyond the European
Championship but Ribery feels that it is important that Blanc continues working with France.
“Sure it’s a very difficult situation for him and the France team. Now, we must not forget what Laurent Blanc and Jean-Louis Gasset did. They were able to restore the confidence in the France team, many players and I think, all players are very happy with
both coaches. We must not forget that France team has not lost in their last 17 games with them.”
Certainly, Ribery’s words could be echoed by the rest of the French team which means that there is clearly no internal trouble between players and Blanc.
