http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international, Franck Ribery, has praised his colleague, Arjen Robben, for playing for the team now and has stressed that he is ready to sign a new contract with the club.
Bayern Munich attacking midfielder, Ribery, has hailed right winger, Robben for putting the team’s needs first after the Bundesliga outfit won the historic treble in the 2012-13 season.
The pair shared a difficult relationship a number of times last year after a clash in the UEFA Champions League game against Real Madrid.
“We have talked a lot. I have said that it does not matter who scores. Bayern are not FC Ribery or FC Robben,” the Frenchman added.
However, the French star has said that they have resolved their issues and put them behind. On the other hand, he claimed Robben has emerged as a better player because of his work ethic. They duo talk to each other on a regular basis. Also they are not concerned
with who scores as it is not a one man team.
“It's all about Bayern and we need each other in order to be successful. That has been our biggest strength this season. We have always acted as a team,” he said. “Robben has changed his style of play and he really does a lot of hard work for the team now.”
The only thing that matters is Der FCB and the two players need to get along for the sake of the German giants. Ribery stated that their main weapon was the togetherness in the team along with the unity. In addition, Robben has improved his playing style
and is not a selfish player anymore.
“We have talked everything through and a 'yes' is a 'yes' for me,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Ribery also revealed he will soon put down pen to paper and extend his current deal until 2017. He suggested an agreement has been reached with Die Roten and papers are just a formality which will be signed in the near future. He expressed his happiness
at the Allianz Arena after winning the treble.
