The Giallorossi recently unveiled new signings Castan and Tachtsidis to the press, and their general manager has heaped praise on the fresh talents.

The two players had joined the Giallorossi a month ago just in time to travel with the team to their friendly tour of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390, and it has taken a while for the club to present them to the public.
Baldini was all praise for both the new signings, and pointed out that Castan has the honour of winning the Brazilian league along with the Copa Libertadores, and stressed that a player with such accolades on his C.V deserves respect.
The Giallorossi GM went on to state that the Brazilian defender’s spectacle had the caught the eye of many clubs around the world, and insisted that the Rome outfit is lucky to have signed the player amidst Corinthians’ interest in extending the contract of the player.
The Maggica chief also stated that the presence of Castan will provide them with another option in their back alongside another Brazilian.
While talking to the press, the former Italian footballer said:
"The negotiations to bring him here were a bit drawn out, partly because http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aldair-c4360, we now have another Brazilian who can play in the difficult centre-back role for Roma."
Baldini then turned his attention to Panagiotis Tachtsidis, and insisted that everyone has already seen the magic that the players are capable of producing on the field.
"I think you probably know him yourselves having seen him last year in Serie B with Verona, where he made 37 appearances and scored two fine goals – though neither was patch on his magical strike in Chicago against Lubin.”
The Giallorossi will start the 2012-13 season under their new manager Zdenek Zeman, with a clash against Catania on their home turf on August 25, 2012.
