The Rosanero striker is delighted at coming back to the club with a transfer from Siena, and has stressed that it is emotional moment for him.

The deep-lying forward spent the last two years playing for Siena, and has previously spent a large chunk of his playing career at Stadio Renzo Barbera.
Brienza revealed that the past few days have been filled with recollections from his previous experiences with Palermo, and insisted that he is delighted to be able to reunite with his old club once again.
The former Reggina attacker was adamant that since his exit from the Aquile he has been looking for a way back, and insisted that he did not hesitate when the opportunity finally arose.
The Eagles player went on to add that it will be an emotional moment for him to once again step into Palermo’s home ground, where he has left so many memories of his playing career.
The ex-Siena-man stressed that it was the thought of reunion along with the desire to play with the Aquile at the top level, which lured him into making the transfer.
While talking to the press, the 33-year-old said:
“In the last few weeks I have been replaying the film of my time at Palermo in my mind. I really hoped to come back here and as soon as the opportunity arose, I didn’t think twice. The moment I step back on to the field at the Barbera will certainly be a
strong emotion. I can’t wait. The bond that ties me to these colours and the chance to play for a side of this level were crucial factors in my decision.”
Brienza went on to assure that he returns of Palermo a changed man, and insisted that his tenure with Siena has turned him to play more for the team.
“Sannino changed some aspects of my mentality and the way I play, as I now work more to serve the team.” He added.
