The former Parma boss has hailed the Bianconeri striker as one of the best and urged Fiorentina to sign him…
Former Parma FC boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Amauri-c5381, is the right choice for Fiorentina.
Recent reports have linked the Italian international with a move to the Tuscan giants, and it is believed that they have agreed personal terms with the striker.
Fiorentina are in search of a new striker after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-c4309 Gilardino’s departure to Serie A outfit, Genoa CFC, in the ongoing January transfer window. Amauri is also keen to join the Tuscan giants in order to assure first-team action.
The former Parma boss was talking to Radio Toscana where he advised Fiorentina to sign Amauri this winter. Colomba believes that the Brazilian-born striker is a dangerous player in the penalty box and he knows how to score goals.
The veteran tactician insists that Amauri will adjust well to Fiorentina’s system.
“I don’t know if Amauri is the kind of player who Fiorentina boss Delio Rossi is looking for, but I am sure that he is an animal in the penalty area. He may need some time to be totally ready for action, but if he is motivated
then he can instantly settle into the team.”
Amauri spent half of the 2010/11 season on loan at Parma and was a big hit at the club. The 31-year-old found the back of the net on seven occasions in 11 league games. However, at the end of the season, Parma did not offer him
a permanent contract and he had to return to Turin.
Juventus head coach, Antonio Conte, has not been impressed by the Italian international, and has signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Borriello-c23672 to strengthen the strike department. The attacker has not been featured in a single game this season, and is
desperate to leave the Turin giants.
Apart from Fiorentina, English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur is also monitoring the powerful striker. Juventus are reportedly looking for a fee in the region of three million Euros for his signature.
