Frangipani plant question?

My husband I am have brought from Indonesia a small stem of Frangipani that has grown into a huge tree with multiple branches within some 4 years. I´d like to plant one branch I´ve cut off, but I don´t know how to achieve it develops roots. The natives from Lombok island where we`ve got it told us we should put the stem directly in the soil but the one branch I planted that way just died. I also tried putting it in water first but it doesn´t work either.

How to produce roots?

Any knowledge and advice highly appreciated.

  1. My family has a plant nursery and we just cut a 12 inch branch off put it in potting soil and it just starts to grow we don't use any cloning solution either. The leaves normally fall off but I have not seen one die. We live in florida and its humid so that might help.

  2. Plumeria rubra Frangipani

Hardwood cutting, allowed to dry 2 to 4 days before sticking into soil.

I hope you find this information useful

  3. Here you go. Not that difficult once you get the right info. Do it wrong and they just wither away or rot. Very popular landscape plant here in SoCal, one of my wife's favorites.
