The former Ajax Amsterdam midfielder expressed his delight following Morten Olsen’s side win over the Oranje in their Euro 2012 opening tie, and confessed that the Danes were a bit lucky in claiming all three points.
Frank Arnesen has heaped praise on Denmark’s brilliant performance in their Euro 2012 opener against Netherlands on June 9. However, he has admitted that the Danes enjoyed a bit of luck in claiming the 1-0 victory over the 2010 World Cup runners-up.
The former Ajax Amsterdam midfielder watched the match in Kharkiv from the stands, as the Danish Dynamite pulled off a stunning win over one of the competition favourites, and open heartedly confessed that he would have been content with a stalemate.
“Olsen has provided them with faith and inspired them to show this enormous fighting spirit. Of course there was also a bit of luck because Netherlands had great chances. Normally we would have been content with a point. Therefore, it is incredible and unbelievable
that it has become three. I've noticed over the past 14 days that the boys have begun to believe in themselves”, Arnesen was quoted as saying to the media.

The Oranje tested the Danish Dynamite’s defence on several occasions until the full time whistle. However, they failed to find the back of the net, and the match ended in a surprising 1-0 win in favour of the Danes.
