The Dinosaurs' athletic supervisor thinks that the young prodigy should be representing the England national team, as he has performed consistently with the Bundesliga outfit last season.
Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen feels that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Mancienne-c25332 is good enough to play for the national side. The former Chelsea chief is now working for the German team and insisted that the former England youth international
is at his optimal level, and should be utilised.
The youngster was signed from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952. He made over 100 league
appearances for the two clubs.
The Rothosen director stated that if he was the head coach of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, he would definitely be interested by the defender’s potential. He claimed that Mancienne is a very versatile player and can perform exceptionally well as a
full-back or in central defence.
"If I was the [England] coach then I would definitely look at him, absolutely. He could be a good shout for the squad as he can play right-back and centre back. He has been outstanding," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Arnesen said that the former Chelsea starlet was brilliant in their win against Hannover over the weekend. He suggested that the German League is very difficult to play in and as good as the English Premier League because the game-play
is similar.
"We won against Hannover on Saturday and it was the best performance he's played in his 16 months since he came here,” he mused.
"I think the Bundesliga is as tough as, or tougher than, the Premier League because the rhythm of the league is very high and it's physically tough,” he finally concluded.
The club official revealed that the central defender has improved a lot since making the move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904. The stopper is very comfortable on the ball and has good touch. Therefore, he can adjust quickly in the national team set-up
and will perform really well if he is given a chance.
