The Technical Director, 24 hours earlier, was handed over the reins of the outfit after Carlos de los Cobos was given the axe on Monday.
Klopas, however, cleared the air that he is not planning to occupy coach’s position on a permanent basis. He revealed that his appointment is just a part of a smooth transition so that the team does not get affected by a new face and his new system.

He further added, “We’re very familiarized with the players, they know us and the transition will be much smoother than it would’ve been if we brought in someone new at this point in the season and had him learn everything about the team.”
The manager will now be making roster decisions with assistance from Mike Jeffries, who will also be scouting for the next head coach. It is anticipated that Klopas will be the head tactician until the end of the current season but the search for a new supervisor
will certainly begin earlier than that, and Klopas and Jefferies will be short listing the candidates in the offseason.
