Frank Lampard blames lack of hard work for Chelsea woes
Chelsea's talismanic midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 has gone ahead and stated that he is alarmed at the fact that the Blue's have stopped working as hard as they once used to.
The player has come-forth and stated that apart from the lack of confidence and the drop in quality at the club, the other major factor that has contributed to the team's downfall has been the lack of hard work that the players are putting into the team
week in and week out.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international, who has been part of the Chelsea side for almost fifteen years now, has witnessed all the highs and lows that the side have been through. However, he has also managed to be a part of the worst run in from that the team has displayed
in those fifteen years.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 did manage to go ahead and demolish Ipswich Town by seven goals to nil, however, the player still feels that the team needs to put in a lot more hard work, if they are to stand any chance at getting back in the title race.
Lampard is reported to have said, "There was a time like this near the end of the Luiz Felipe Scolari reign when we were struggling to get wins"
"Everyone has spells like that to an extent but this one has been a little more prolonged over a period of time.”
"Not winning games is the biggest thing that has affected us.”
The player then went on to add, "There are quite a few reasons for that, a lack of confidence being one of them, but there has also been a lack of quality and workrate.”
"We have high standards and the results we've had the last two months is not the level we expect.”
Lampard missed quite a large portion of the start of the season for Chelsea, as the player found it close to impossible to recover from his hernia operation. During the player's absence, Chelsea seemed to lack a sense of creativity in the middle of the pitch.
Nonetheless, with Lampard now back in action and back to his best, it seems like he might finally be able to get the Blue's back to their best once again.
