Frank Lampard confident of title defense, Fernando Torres not panicking, Carlo Ancelotti happy with Didier Drogba
Frank Lampard confident Chelsea can retain Premier League title
Chelsea midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 revealed he was confident his side could retain the Premier League crown after the 2-1 win over Manchester United. The Blues were clearly the better side against league leaders United and came away with an important win and
all three points. The Blues vice captain believed the victory over United had given http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 the necessary confidence to continue their winning ways.
The England international said while speaking to reporters, “If we keep winning all our games we're going to be in with a right shout, certainly we've not been at our best lately so it was good for the crowd to see a good performance with some quality and
some spirit.”
The 32-year-old midfielder said he believed Chelsea could beat Manchester United at Old Trafford, a fixture which is scheduled for May. However, before they take on Sir Alex Ferguson’s side for a second time this season, the Blues have to face Blackpool
away. Chelsea travel to Bloomfield Road and will have to secure all three points if they wish to climb up the Premier League table.
Fernando Torres remains patient
Former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 striker Fernando Torres revealed he was confident he would soon return to his goal scoring form for his new side. The 26-year-old has not managed to find the back of the net since his record breaking arrival at Stamford Bridge. While the
pressure is mounting, the Spaniard revealed he was not going to panic.
Torres revealed he was certain he would find his form once he got used to the team. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 international has only made four appearances for the Blues and despite his performance improving with every appearance he has received heavy criticism for not being
able to score. However, Torres remained calm.
He said, “It's important to understand the style of football your team is playing, how you are involved in the system and everything. This always takes some time. But, I think once you get it everything becomes much easier. I'm ready for this because I want
to play where the manager asks me to - I know the competition is high here.”
Carlo Ancelotti praises Didier Drogba
Despite various rumors claiming the end of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044’s career at Chelsea, Carlo Ancelotti recently spoke about the Ivorian hit man and the Blues boss had nothing but good things to say about him. The Italian manager revealed the striker would be returning
to his place in the starting line up in the upcoming game against Blackpool.
Ancelotti revealed he was impressed with the way Drogba had reacted to being benched, he said while speaking to reporters, “Didier is showing fantastic behavior. He wants to play, obviously, but he's training very hard and he's focused every day.”
Ancelotti chose to play new arrival http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 instead of Drogba previously in some highly important fixtures. However, the Spaniard has failed to perform as yet and Ancelotti has finally decided to recall the 32-year-old striker to his starting XI.
