Frank Lampard is hoping that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s recent domination over Bolton Wanderers can inspire the Blues to a win at the Reebok Stadium on Monday, 24 January, 2011.
Chelsea are only just starting to climb out of their worst slump in the Premier League in almost 15 years. Their terrible form over the few past weeks has seen them surrender their position at the top of the League table to drop down into fourth place. Two
wins in their last two games will have restored some confidence to the ailing champions, but they will know that they are not out of the woods yet.
On paper, a trip to the Reebok Stadium is just what Chelsea need to continue their winning streak. The Blues have won all seven of their encounters at Bolton’s home ground since owner Roman Abramovich bought the London club back in the summer of 2003. However,
it looks like Chelsea have their work cut out for them if they want to walk away with all three points this time.
Bolton Wanderers have been the surprise package in 2010-11 season. Under Owen Coyle’s guidance, the Trotters have transformed themselves into an attacking squad, capable of causing trouble to even the sturdiest of defences. They are currently in seventh
place, and amazingly, are looking to break into the top four in the season. The Trotters are certain to give Chelsea a tough time on Monday.
Blues midfielder Frank Lampard has urged his team to take heart from their past victories at the Reebok Stadium, saying they should use their recent successes against Bolton to inspire them to yet another win.
Lampard said, “For the players who have been there in those days - and also last season we had a good result there (at the Reebok Stadium) winning 4-0 - you do kind of get a good feeling about a ground. It doesn't mean anything on the day of the game but
it is nice in the preparation. Let's just hope we can take that sort of confidence, nice memories and good feeling back there - along with the fact that we have won our last two games pretty well - and put it into practice.”
Let’s see whether the Blues can continue their dominance over Bolton Wanderers when the two sides clash on Monday.
