http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 has praised German football ahead of the UEFA Champions League final against Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Even though English and German rivalry goes way back, Lampard believes England could learn a lot from German football. He admitted he had respect for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, having followed their rivalry growing up and felt his side could learn a thing or two from the Germans.
Lampard has had experience playing with a German player, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Ballack-c25270 having spent four years at the London club. The English midfielder had nothing but nice things to say about the former German international who made 167 appearances for the Blues and scored 26 goals.
Lampard said in an interview:
“He was one of those players who you could probably take the wrong way in the beginning, but he was so determined, confident and wanted to win.
The German teams I have played against all seem to have that individually. That's why they will be such a force at the Euros as well this summer.
They are very technically intelligent. Maybe it's the set-up and the system they have with the young kids there.”
According to Lampard, the Germans were a breed of intelligent footballers capable of playing a technical game. He believed the German under-21 development was something the English could learn from, with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 having already improved.
With the day for the UEFA Champions League final fast approaching, Frank Lampard was aware of the difficulty of the task that they had to face. He admitted it would be a huge challenge to take on Bayern Munich on their home ground and emerge victorious.
He praised their players, especially Mario Gomez in attack and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 in midfield along with Thomas Muller. He admitted they were a top club and would present a tough challenge on Saturday. The English midfielder continued:
“(Mario) Gomez's goal record is amazing and his all-round game and his finishing is fantastic. And the wingers we all know about anyway.
In (Toni) Kroos and (Bastian) Schweinsteiger, they have two fantastic midfield players.”
