Chelsea and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 has revealed he was shocked by the sacking of his uncle Harry Redknapp as the Tottenham Hotspur manager.
The main reason for his sacking is believed to be Tottenham Hotspur’s failure to qualify for UEFA Champions League football for the 2012-2013 season. Even though the Spurs finished fourth on the Premier League table, they lost out their spot to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
Since Chelsea won the UEFA Champions League against Bayern Munich on penalties, they automatically took up Tottenham Hotspur’s place in the European tournament. Not only did that lead to disappointment for the Spurs’ it also ultimately cost Harry Redknapp

Lampard revealed he felt sorry for his Redknapp, who happens to be his uncle. According to the English midfielder it was unfair that Redknapp had to pay with his job for Tottenham Hotspur’s inability to qualify for the Champions League despite finishing
in the top four.
Lampard said in an interview:
“I feel really bad for Harry, especially as my biggest success in football turned out so unlucky for him.
He deserved Champions League football. He and Spurs finished fourth. That's why I'm still shell-shocked by what's happened.”
Lampard believed that after his efforts with the London club, Redknapp deserved Champions League football but admitted he had been unlucky to lose out on the European competition. He said he was shocked at his sacking and did not think that should have been
the way to treat the English manager.
The 33-year-old, who turns 34 on 20th June, revealed he had some friends who were Tottenham Hotspur supporters who were extremely disappointed with Redknapp’s sacking. After taking over the club from Portsmouth, Redknapp led the London side to
UEFA Champions League football but unfortunately was unable to do the same last season, something which proved to be extremely costly.
He continued:
“I have some mates who are Spurs fans and they are desperately disappointed. They remember how they were rock-bottom when Harry came in. Then, all of a sudden, they're playing in the Champions League and competing at the top.
He's done an amazing job.”
