The 42-year-old tactician has expressed optimism ahead of his side’s UEFA Champions League clash against Bundesliga champions, Borussia Dortmund, and has urged his troops not to make any mistake if they are to achieve a
good result.

The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 player has urged his side not to make any mistake in their opening game of the Europe’s most prestigious club competition, if they are eyeing to achieve a result in their favour.
“The point is that we minimise our number of mistakes”, De Boer was quoted as saying to Algemeen Dagblad.
The Amsterdammers are drawn in the Group D, which is regarded as the ‘Group of Death’, along with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Die Borussians.
Although, it seems highly unlikely that the Eredivisie champions will be able to make progression to the knock-out phase of the competition, De Joden boss has expressed optimism over his side’s chances of progression.
The Dutch mentor acknowledged that his troops performed brilliantly against Los Blancos last term, despite losing both games at home and away, and expressed his hope that everyone have learnt from their past experience about how
to play against a top European side.
“Last year we played quite well against Real Madrid, but after we carelessly lost possession, the ball ended up in the back of our net. Hopefully we have learned from this, although not everyone in our team has Champions League
experience”, De Boer added.
Nonetheless, the Dutch mentor has open heartedly admitted that it is a difficult task to emerge victorious against the German champions, though, he did not rule out his side’s chances of securing a good result.
“It is a difficult task, but of course we have a chance - if we dare to play football”, De Boer concluded.
Ajax and Borussia Dortmund are scheduled to commence the game at 20:45 CET.
