The Ajax Amsterdam boss confesses that the 18-year-old has plenty of talent, and could go on to become a top player in Europe in the years to come.
Ajax Amsterdam head coach, Frank de Boer, was all praises for Viktor Fischer, and revealed that the young striker has the qualities to become a major player in the years to come.
The Danish starlet, who only joined the Amsterdammers fabled youth academy last year, has been attracting interest from a host of elite European clubs including the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan.
And De Joden boss has confessed that the youngster might become a player to watch in the coming years while admitting that he has all the qualities to become a top notch player.
“He may very well be [a great player]. He's pretty good, but still only a second-year player. He can also play in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787. He has the qualities to become a major player”, De Boer was quoted as saying to Eredivisie Live.
The Dutch mentor, however, went on to reveal that there are no guarantees no matter how good you are in the game of football.
“There are of course no guarantees. He can have an injury or a fall”, De Boer added.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 player, who took the reins of Ajax in December 2010 from Martin Jol, has also stressed that the youngster should keep his feet on the ground if he is to become one of the brightest players in Europe in the coming years.
“The scouts have a lot of insight and need to see that this is really him. If he develops, it would be stupid not to include him in the first-team squad. He will have to deal with media attention. We have to see if he's going to float or stay with both feet
on the ground”, De Boer concluded.
Fischer has an ongoing contract at Amsterdam Arena that runs until the end of the 2013/14 season. However, reports indicate that the Ajax management is keen to prolong his stay at the club by offering him a new contract.
