The 23-year-old attacker came from the bench in Serbia’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Macedonia FYR in a 2014 World Cup qualifier, and the Ajax Amsterdam boss was extremely shocked to hear about the winger’s participation.
Ajax Amsterdam head coach, Frank de Boer, was extremely surprised to hear that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Serbia-c3002’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Macedonia FYR in a 2014 World Cup qualifier at Nacionalna Arena on October 16.
The 23-year-old attacker has been sidelined from action for several weeks due to an ankle injury. However, the former Heerenveen star came from the bench to replace Lazar Markovic in the 74th minute.
 The Amsterdammers boss was surprised to hear about the Serbian ace’s participation in the game.
“Did he really play? This is really a very big surprise. As a club we should give players to national teams and we can only indicate what is sensible and not”, De Boer was quoted as saying to De Telegraaf.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 player went on to reveal that they will not let Sulejmani play without consulting the medical staff.
“We will consult with the medical staff. Miralem is a very expensive player for Ajax. I believe that a comeback must happen in consultation (with national sides) and I do not think this has been the case”, De Boer added.
Although, De Boer was furious over Serbia for giving Sulejmani playing time, the Dutch mentor also expressed his delight over the 23-year-old’s return to action.
“On the other hand, I am of course glad Miralem apparently can play again”, De Boer concluded.
The Serbian ace, who arrived at Amsterdam Arena in the summer of 2008 after making 34 appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Heerenveen-c40463, has been one of the most consistent performers for the Amsterdam giants.
In the meantime, the technically gifted attacker, who has thus far represented the Amsterdam giants in over 100 Eredivisie games, has also remained one of the most vulnerable players in De Joden squad, spending time on the sidelines due to injuries.
Sulejmani has an ongoing current that is due to expire at the end of the ongoing 2012/13 season.
