Frankel: Is he really a ‘Piece of Art’?
The renowned trainer of horseracing world, Andre Fabre, has recently termed the Sir Henry Cecil trained star bay colt, Frankel, as a piece of art in the museum of the sport. According to him, the brilliant young sprinter possesses power, wisdom and charm
at the same time, and he is always alluring to watch in the playfield.
Fabre said, “I don't know what else you can say about him, it's like looking at a piece in a museum. I just watch him and I think he's the best there's been. He has a combination of power and charm and has a great personality."
He further told, “Festivals are very important for everybody and it's good to have a concentration of champions, especially Frankel.”
Fabre is not the only one to applaud Frankel’s excellent racing skills; rather the maverick runner has earned a lot of honour and admiration worldwide with his epic unbeaten record of 13 consecutive triumphs.
The K. Abdulla owned colt possesses matchless stamina and capabilities. With the rich legacy of Galileo and Kind, he has accomplished glittering feats in his career that began in August 2010.
On September 25, 2010, Frankel grabbed the title of Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes (Group 2) (Colts & Geldings). That was followed by the glorious title of the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes (Group 1) (Entire Colts & Fillies) that took place in October.
On April 30, 2011, he convincingly won the Qipco 2000 Guineas (203rd Running) (Group 1) (Entire Colts & Fillies). In the Royal Ascot festival of the last year, he lifted the title of the St James's Palace Stakes.
The confident colt registered a marvellous victory in the Queen Anne Stakes of this year’s Royal Ascot series.
His last victory came on August 22 when he beat Farhh to win Juddmonte International Stakes.
What an awesome track record! This is what forced Fabre to compare Frankel with art. This is what makes the colt the second best runner of this era with Australia’s Black Caviar at the top----the mare has 22 consecutive victories to her name.
Hopefully, Frankel will bring home a number of high-class victories in the future. Good luck to him.
