Frankel and Frankie Dettori with all new agendas
Quite a few things came to an end with the end of the 2012 flat racing season and awkwardly all three of them did not have an exciting ring to them. Frankel raced for the last time, Frankie Dettori raced for the Godolphin racing string for the last time
and the BBC broadcasted horse racing for a final last time (the Grand National might get covered by the Cooperation).
Frankel could not have ended the journey in a better manner, winning fourteen out of fourteen starts and giving the connections just what they wanted. However, they never considered that a four-year-old Frankel retiring unbeaten, might not be the most ideal
outcome of such an extra ordinary career.
According to many, there was much more that Galileo’s bay colt still could have managed.
‘He’s the best I’ve ever had, the best I’ve ever seen,’ he said. ‘I’d be very surprised if there’s ever been better.’
"I'm so proud of him," Queally, "It's been an amazing journey and I can't tell you what it means to be part of it.
"We lost a length [at the start], but that's nothing to him."
And just as everything moves on, Frankel already has a busy schedule to follow with the date already set for the Australian racing sensation, Black Caviar.
Frankel’s stud value right now is £100 million while the stud fee is around £100,000.
The idea of the best miler and sprinter together can originate an enviable 2013 crop.
With the hope of creating new future champions, Galileo’s bay colt is in for a busy stud career while the world class jockey, Frankie Dettori, is also on his way to laying foundations for the fourth champion jockey title.
He has already started thriving without the royal blue uniform anymore.
"If he had wished to tear up his contract publicly, he could not have done so with greater emphasis," was reported.
"It has been like a car crash unfolding in slow motion but the impact still resounded throughout racing yesterday. Frankie Dettori's 18 years as first jockey to Sheikh Mohammed ended with measured statements, mutual gratitude and untold undercurrents."
