Frankel attracting market popularity for the Coral-Eclipse Stakes
Frankel is the leader of the market and gaining attention with 71 entries for the Coral-Eclipse Stakes which is scheduled to take place at Sandown on 7th July, 2012.
The four-year-old colt is trained by Sir Henry Cecil, and he remains undefeated. The runner is owned by Khalid Abdullah and has emerged victorious from all his races.
Whelped on 11th February, 2008, the colt might participate in the race which is scheduled to take place at Esher in the mid-summer, where he will be competing against older competitors.
Frankel, son of Galileo, out of mare Kind, began his career with a magnificent victory under rider, Tom Queally, in the European Breeders' Fund Maiden Stakes on 13th August, 2010, where he defeated the John Gosden trained, Nathaniel
by ½ a length.
Frankel’s previous victory took place at Ascot, where he ran in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Sponsored By Qipco (British Champions Mile) at Ascot as a favourite with a winning chance of 4 to 11.
Frankel defeated, Excelebration, by 4 lengths on 15th October, 2011.
The dark bay colt is currently the world’s second highest rated horse and he is expected to show his true potential in the Coral-Eclipse.
Cityscape, the six-year-old horse is also owned by Khalid Abdullah, and he is being considered for participation in this event.
With a victory in the Dubai Duty Free Sponsored By Dubai Duty Free at Meydan this year, the horse’s esteem is raised among his connections.
So You Think and Camelot, both trained by Aidan O'Brien also have the possibility of competing among the twenty two contenders from his stable.
