Frankel leading the market and gaining popularity for the JLT Lockinge Stakes at Newbury
Frankel, the undefeated colt, is gaining popularity among the punters for the JLT Lockinge Stakes, scheduled to take place at Newbury on 19th May, 2012.

Paddy Power will be sending the Sir Henry Cecil trained bay colt with a winning shot of 4 to 9.
The 4-year-old colt is the highest rated horse in the world, and the anticipation of his performance is keeping his connections and bookmakers on their toes.
The son of Galileo, out of mare, Kind, has competed in nine races and scored in all of them, thus, without a doubt, he will attempt to add a tenth one to his record.

He has raced as a favourite throughout a rather short career, and thanks to Bet365, he will race yet again as the favourite, with odds of 2 to 5.
Trainer, Sir Mark Prescott has decided not to run his runner, Worthadd, in the same race as Frankel, saying that it would not be easy for him.
The trainer admired Frankel’s form as he stated:
"I thought Frankel looked amazing in his gallop at Newmarket the other day and it is great that the public turned out in such force."
Frankel last competed in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Sponsored By Qipco, at Ascot, in October 2011, outrunning Excelebration by 4 lengths.
This will be an opportunity to renew the rivalry between Excelebration and Frankel, as the former has been labelled as the second favourite.
Trained by Aidan O’Brien since 16th March, 2012, the son of Exceed And Excel, out of Sun Shower, looks in good shape as he triumphed over Croisultan by 3 ¼ lengths in the Big Bad Bob Gladness Stakes, at the Curragh, in April
2012.
The Derrick Smith owned bay colt has been immensely successful as he has secured six victories out of ten starts.
Shubaat, trained by Roger Varian, has also made it to the line-up for this race, with an opportunity to compete in the Chester Cup too, being the first reserve.

The chestnut gelding will compete against some of the toughest competitors, but he does have a fighting chance, considering his career stats.
