Frankel’s next shoe is in for the Queen Elizabeth 2 Stakes at Ascot, Sir Henry Cecil explains
Frankel without any doubt is the charm and the most awaited contestant of the Queen Elizabeth 2 Stakes that are to be held this Saturday and are being sponsored by Qipco.
Sir Henry Cecil is convinced that there is way more potential in Frankel than has actually been displayed till yet. Even though the horse has an unbeaten record till yet, the trainer expects better performances and deliveries from the three-year-old Galileo.
"He is a very happy horse with a lot of energy - he never seems to get tired. I don't particularly mind that it is on the straight course rather than the round at Ascot. I would not swap him, but no horse is a certainty”.
The horse has accompanied competition on the racing tracks eight times till yet and almost miraculously he has been able to ride ahead of challenge by always winning these races and crossing the wire before any other contestant got a chance to close in.
this exotic record of his is one of the major reasons why he is being viewed as a potential threat by many at the Queen Elizabeth 2 Stakes at the Ascot.
During this season Frankel has raced four times and won first at the Newbury then at Newmarket, Ascot and then the most recent victory was at the Goodwood. The last time he raced was on 27th July this season. The always honoured jockey who gets
to ride the unbeaten colt is Tom Queally.
Henry Cecil does consider Frankel to be one of his best horses but he is not completely certain that this trainee of his can be labeled as ‘the best’. Henry Cecil has had a lot more horses that have performed at par with excellence thus he finds it not entirely
just to put Frankel only in an altogether different league.
However, he does claim to enjoy the horse and the experience with him thoroughly. He celebrates Frankel’s each victory and cherishes the caliber and level of challenge Frankel puts forward even as a trainee.
"I think this horse, as time goes on, will show you what he is and you may not even have to ask me the question”.
Frankel’s entry for the Queen Elizabeth 2 Stakes is the most awaited and the crowds are anxious to witness yet another victory going under Frankel’s belt.
