Frankfurt - Places to See?

I am in Frankfurt during end of July for just one day, can someone suggest what are the best places to see and what public transport should I use.

First of all I can recommend to visit the top of the skyscraper "Maintower" right in the city.

Depending on what are your preferences and how much time is left get a general over-view on:

For transport us the U-Bahn, S-Bahn or taxis. The most attraction are in walking distance, therefore you explore the most by taking a walk from one place to the other.
