Frankie Dettori finds no more place in Godolphin
The three-time Champion Jockey, the winner of above 500 group races and the old buddy of Godolphin, Frankie Dettori, has been chewed out by the Sheikh Fahad Al Thani owned stable. According to reports, the UAE based gigantic training facility has refused
to accept Dettori as Retained Jockey for the next year.
Not only Godolphin, Thani’s two other franchises, Pearl Racing and Qatar Bloodstock, too have no room for the legendary rider who has been serving the sport for almost three decades.
Fahad’s racing manager, David Redvers, revealed, “We love Frankie and think he's fantastic. He is a great ambassador for racing and the Qipco British Champions Series and we are always happy for him to ride for us, but he will not be retained by us next
year.”
Ignoring Dettori for the next season does not mean that Godolphin has ended up its secret romance with the skilled rider who has worked for the one of the world’s largest stables for many years, driving many winners in various high-profile events.
Some analysts hope that Fahad will reemploy Dettori for 2014 season, as there seems to be no apparent spat between the two. However, some of the jockey’s fans, who are greatly disappointed at his ouster from the Arabian stables, see something wrong in the
bottom.
It is still not known where Dettori will be ridding in 2013. He may announce this in some days. His fans are eagerly waiting for the decision.
Dettori has a long history of the sport associated with him. The Milan-born Italian jockey has accomplished a number of feats in his career. He has won races at various big venues of Great Britain, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Singapore,
Turkey, Canada, UAE and United States.
Some of his ace British titles include 1,000 Guineas, 2,000 Guineas, Ascot Gold Cup, Cheveley Park Stakes, Coronation Cup, Eclipse Stakes, Falmouth Stakes, Golden Jubilee Stakes, Queen Anne Stakes, Racing Post Trophy and Yorkshire Oaks.

Thus, Dettori has a great say in horseracing. The sport is incomplete without him. This season has also been pretty successful for him as he has earned 50 triumphs so far along with £1,893,397.
Despite being 42-year-old, Dettori is still energetic, active and triumphant. God bless the great jockey.
