Frankie Dettori with a headline at Longchamp this time
The Italian jockey, Frankie Dettori, has been a favourite for the news media as the genius of his profession has been up to making headlines since the last month. The termination of his eighteen-year long association with the blue brand in horse racing, Godolphin, came to an end just the previous month, and now the much accomplished jockey has managed generating another story.
The jockey who no longer is retained by the Vice President of the UAE, is set for a France Gallop inquiry next week after his tests ran positive at Longchamp in September for a substance that is banned at the race course.
It seems that the rider is not dealing very well with the mind blogging turns and twists that his career has been going through recently. He still gets to ride for his former employer, but no longer in the capacity of their ace jockey.
Upon the plan of a hearing, the solicitor, Christopher Stewart-Moore, released a statement to Press Association Sport that said:
On behalf of Frankie Dettori I can confirm that, as a consequence of a positive test at Longchamp on September 16 2012, he will be the subject of an inquiry by the Medical Committee of France Galop next week."
It continued: "In compliance with, and out of respect for, the regulations of France Galop, he will not be commenting further until the France Galop procedures have been completed."
Frankie Dettori does not happen to be the only celebrity jockey who has under gone hearings, penalties and suspensions. With the fame that he has acquired over the until yet tenure of his career, has made Dettori a hose-hold name not only in his country, but wider and further. Jockey, Kieren Fallon, has been subject to such suspensions and scenarios before.
His prime presence during the prior employment gradually faded due to induction of new and young riding talent, Mickael Barzalona and Silvestre De Sousa. The situation took its actual toll when Frankie Dettori opted to ride the Aidan O’Brien trained, Camelot, in the French Arc. The selection coupled with the highly unexpected failure did not work in the favour of the rider.
On 16th September, he had two Godolphin rides, Farhh in the Prix du Moulin, and he rode Willing Foe in the Prix Gladiateur. The prior ended second while the latter could only manage the third position.
