I believe there is more to this rather than the reason given by the English Boxing Coach that he couldnt loose 3 pound weight,

Also Should gavin pay back the 27,000 lotto funding which we all gave

Me too. I think it was his intention to go pro, but he could not say that because he would lose his funding. I might be wrong.
