I ve heard if you put up an 88 you are kicked off. Is he ok because he withdrew before he finished?

  1. 88 is the rule for the LPGA not the men's tour.

He needs to consider his future!!!

  2. that sounds reasonable as to why he did not finish same thing happend to Michelle Wei, although she said she got hurt and could not finish

  3. No player who has exempt status can be removed from the PGA tour for scoring poorly on one round. He may be through for that tournament because  he would have to shoot an impossibly low score to make the cut.

  4. The 88 rule is on the LPGA tour, and it only applies to non-LPGA members.

  5. No he is not kicked off the tour, but he Wd so he won't make the cut or earn any money.  The 88 thing is an unwritten LPGA rule for non members.

  6. The 88 rule is not unwritten -- it is LPGA policy put in to effect many years ago.
