Franklin rips Indian bowling apart to take http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 to 315
New Zealand started off briskly as Guptill and Brendon McCullum played a handy knock. The Indian bowlers seemed frail with the new ball, and the Kiwi’s took very good advantage of that.
However, soon the Indians struck after Nehra managed to force the rather adventurous Guptill to play an aerial shot which went straight to Yuvraj Singh, who held a comfortable catch. The loss of this wicket helped India put the breaks on the Kiwi innings.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JM-How-c1707 seemed uncomfortable on the crease as Nehra bowled a delivery which angled across, How casually held his bat out, which caught the edge as it went straight to Yousaf Pathan at wide slip.
McCullum despite the fall of two wickets played an important knock of 42 in 42 balls, keeping the pressure on the home side. McCullum tried to go after Ashwin, but his timing was far from perfect as the stroke could not get enough elevation. Sharma caught
a comfortable catch to dismiss him.

like a prize.
However, it was Franklin, who played a devastating knock against the Indians to unnerve the home side. Franklin did not seem to care much about the unsteady batsmen at the non strikers end, who kept falling in succession. He hit a blistering unbeaten knock
of 98 in just 69 deliveries.
His knock included 3 sixes and 12 fours. His knock helped the Kiwi’s amass a mind boggling 63 runs in the last five overs and gave them hope that they would now finally put an end to their losing streak.
In the bowling department Nehra bowled commendably but he was a bit expensive. Going for 70 runs in 9 over’s Nehra would be less than happy with his bowling performance but the two wickets that he managed to get would have provided some much needed relief.
Yousaf Pathan surprisingly bowled exceptionally well. He took 3 wickets in 9 over’s going for 49 runs.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gautam-Gambhir-c58623 was confident that his side will be able to amass the total set by New Zealand. The Kiwi’s need to strike the Indian’s with all guns blazing, now that they have a challenging total on the board.
