Franks A Million with a 100% chance in the Digibet.Com Maiden Chase at Sedgefield
The Class 4 Digibet.Com Maiden Chase is to be held at Sedgefield over two miles and four furlongs on Tuesday, 13th March. The £3, 054 purse race will get contested for by five runners. The participants for today include Barr Head, Orlittlebylittle,
Soul Bid, Thats Ben and Franks A Million.
The strongest contender among the lineup is Franks A Million, Blueprint’s five-year-old bay gelding out of mare Ballys Baby. His performance has not been incredibly outstanding but Franks A Million has maintained standards by not losing a race to a fourth
position in the two starts that he has made during the new season.
He strode into the new season on 1st January in the TurfTV.Co.UK Novices’ Hurdle at Catterick over two miles and three furlongs. The 5/2 joint favourite, Koup De Kanon won the race after making it through the ten hurdles along with jockey Jason
Maguire.
They dominated the field of ten by nine lengths.
Franks A Million put the other joint favourite, Proud Times, at a disadvantage and grabbed the runner up’s position with 2 ¾ lengths under his belt when racing through the wire.
Franks A Million was paired up with Wilson Renwick for the race. Scoring second in the seasonal debut was not a disappointing start for the new campaign.
His next start was in the Boundary Mill Maiden Chase on 7th March at Catterick over two miles. Being hopeful about the second venture of the season, Franks A Million was entered as a 6/5 favourite of the race but could not translate the chance
into a victory.
Getting the race under his belt was Alpha One who had the decisive seven lengths in his favour while riding with James Reveley.
Qualifying as the runner up was Earl Grez.
While Franks A Million, instead of improving, stumbled down to a third position from the second that he had acquired in the previous attempt.
Today will be his third outing of the season and a chance to get a victory posted as the rest of the lineup is almost harmless however taken too lightly can get him stuck with the positions that he had been managing already.
