Franks Four wins ‘The Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Stayers Trophy’ at Nottingham on Jan 16
Franks Four, the son of Kinloch Brae out of Liaise With Lisa, performed wonderfully on the day and won the Grade OR The Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Stayers Trophy, at Nottingham, on Monday, January 16, 2012.
It was a 680 metre long race, with six top hounds contesting for the cash prize of £150.

It was a lengthy race and therefore, a lot of effort was required to notch up the first position.
Franks Four, trained by Charlie Lister, answered the call, and won the heat comprehensively, covering the distance in 43.33 seconds.

With the odds of 6 to 4 – the highest by any hound, the brindle dog kicked off the show from the third trap.
Bandicoot Lulu, the daughter of Crash out of Bandicoot Lola, secured second position, clocking the area in 43.59 seconds.

Holding starting price of 8 to 1, the black b***h began the party from trap number 1.

Although, A.D. Stevens’ trainee ran superbly throughout the race, she finished 3 ¼ lengths adrift of the winner.
The third position belonged to Mosquito Pilot, trained by M T Munslow. The son of Hondo Black out of Droopys Lena made it to the post in 43.65 seconds.

The fawn dog was enjoying winning chances of 4 to 1, as he started off his act from the second stall. He made a fine beginning, but got crowded as the race progressed, losing by ¾ of a length.
The fourth and fifth positions respectively went to Ballinamore Lass and Business Fantasy.

The fourth placed b***h is the daughter of Westmead Hawk out of Aughavas, and she crossed the wire in 43.73 seconds. Her winning probability was just 14 to 1 – the lowest in the competition.
Business Fantasy, who finished fifth on the chart, was carrying odds of 11 to 4. The Premier Fantasy’s black b***h is out of Cleanaway Misty, and she touched the wire in 43.89 seconds, beating the Back Marker by 1 ¼ lengths.
Mullpark Romeo, the white and blue dog, completed the order of finish, concluding the party in 43.99 seconds.

Trained by J.A. Houfton, the son of Toosey Blue out of Storetodoor Star, stepped out of the fifth trap with odds of 7 to 2.
It was Franks Four’s first win out of five races he has run so far. His trainer and connections will now look to carry on the good work and build on this winning momentum. It is quite likely that Charlie Lister may have another winner getting ready
for him.
