The German football legend is not very critical of the way Paris Saint-Germain have gone about their business since the arrival of Qataris and says that the city of Paris deserves a great team
At German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich, the issue of Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain is a thorny one to say the least. A few months back, Munich’s supremo, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge severely tackled the capital club’s strategies during transfer windows and
now, it is the turn of Franz Beckenbauer to give his views on PSG and its Qatari owners.
A few months back, Rummenigge said that football’s authenticity must be conserved and it should not fall into the hands of investors.
“We have reached a point where football must keep its authenticity and not fall into the hands of investors. It should not become a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toy-c35496 that allows some people to make a name.”
Presidents of many clubs have been critical of the way PSG have gone about their business in recent months and many have also voiced their disapproval about the omnipotence of PSG.
However, Franz Beckenbauer is not of the same opinion. While talking to Le Parisien, the former World Cup winner, who is the honorary chairman of the supervisory board of Bayern, gave glowing reviews to the club’s leadership by saying that the city of Paris
deserves to have a big team and revealed that people in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 have now started talking about the club.
“PSG project has taken shape and is working. This team is more about the city and the results that match its ambitions. PSG now has a staff of high quality. A city the size of Paris deserves a big team. Even here in Germany, we talk about it.”
Although Beckenbauer admits that the project is a bit questionable but says that the same things had been done at Manchester City and Malaga.
“The project of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 has grown.”
