Franz Beckenbauer warns Bayern Munich against complacency- Bundesliga news
Former Bayern Munich player Franz Beckenbauer has warned the club against complacency after a great start to the season. He claimed that the players will have to be on the ground and concentrate on their performances because the
matches will get tougher and tougher as the season unfolds. He admitted that the team will have to continue with the strong performances throughout the season if they need to challenge for major honours in the end.
The Bavarians have had a sensational opening to the current season and are already being tipped by many as the contenders to win the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League. The side has finally found a balance in attack and defence
and are a far cry from the team that underperformed in the previous campaign.
Beckenbauer claimed that Bayern is going through a very good run currently and there will be a rough patch sometime in the season and the players have to prepare themselves for that. He insisted that the teams in the Bundesliga
will not let Bayern take the title that easily and will provide ample competition and the Bavarians should be ready for that.
“The competition is not going to allow them to be shaken off so easily. There will also be setbacks for Bayern,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The legendary footballer also hailed club manager Jupp Heynckes for his stunning impact on the team since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer. He admitted that the team has found the perfect balance and cannot get any better
than this.
“Jupp is an extraordinary coach. He has matured with age and has become more relaxed. He is just perfect. Things could not go any better than they are,” he concluded.
Manager Jupp Heynckes was satisfied with the team’s performance against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 and insisted that Bayern deserved a win.
“It was a good performance from us and we were in control, so a win wouldn't have been undeserved,” he added.
