Franziska Hentke earns 200m butterfly title in Wuppertal: 2011 German Short Course Nationals
Franziska Hentke secured golden crown in the Women’s 200m butterfly meet on the third night’s session of the 2011 German Short Course Nationals, in Wuppertal, Germany, on Saturday, November 26.
More importantly, Hentke completed her distance in the pool by banging the finishing blockade in a record breaking mark of 2 minutes and 07.30 seconds to win the Women’s 200m butterfly title. The swim moved Hentke to thirteenth spot in the current ranking
of world swimming.
In the meantime, the silver title was taken over by Lena Kalla in an impressive time of 2 minutes and 08.34 seconds. More importantly, Kalla jumped to 22nd place in the existing rank of international swimming. The bronze title went to Nina Schiffer
in a mark of 2 minutes and 11.71 seconds.
Paula Beyer got fourth position in the respective race by claiming the finishing blockade in an impressive mark of 2 minutes and 11.79 seconds, while Jennifer Bottcher settled at fifth spot by touching the finishing wall in a mark of 2 minutes and 12.18
seconds.
In addition, Tina Ruger earned sixth place honour in the respective splash by banging the finishing barricade in a mark of 2 minutes and 12.41 seconds. Zita Grunzke grabbed seventh spot by claiming the finishing barrier in a spot of 2 minutes and 12.64 seconds,
while the eighth place went to Jasmin Rosenberger in a mark of 2 minutes and 13.21 seconds.
Meanwhile, the Men’s 200m butterfly title was clinched by Tim Wallburger in a thrilling mark of 1 minute and 54.42 seconds. More importantly, Wallburger broke his previous best meet record of 1 minute and 55.12 seconds. The swim moved him to sixteenth place
in the current ranking of global swimming.
In the meantime, Tom Siara took home the silver title in the respective race by claiming the finishing blockade in a time of 1 minute and 55.38 seconds and the bronze title went to Robin Backhaus in a spot of 1 minute and 56.38 seconds, respectively.
Additionally, Tobias Zajusch of SG Neukolln Berlin grabbed fourth position in the respective meet by banging the finishing barrier in a time of 1 minute and 57.80 seconds. Steffen Deibler earned fifth position in a time of 1 minute and 58.79 seconds, while
the sixth place honour went to Lukas Husing in a spot of 1 minute and 59.20 seconds, respectively.
Moreover, Marius Kusch of SG Essen earned seventh place honour by thrashing the finishing blockade in a time of 1 minute and 59.36 seconds and the eighth spot was secured by Marcel Selinger of SV Wacker Burghausen in a mark of 1 minute and 59.55 seconds.
The 2011 German Short Course Nationals is offering a great opportunity to all young guns of Germany to prepare themselves better for their futuristic meets.
