Fraud.antivirus2008 trojan?

Question

Can anyone help me get rid of this trojan as Ive tried AVG 8.0 free download antivirus checker and spybot but still no joy in sorting it out... please help me.

AntiVirus 2008 is a latest rogue from authors of XP Antivirus , XP Cleaner  and other well-known malware. AntiVirus 2008 uses stealth installation and almost impossible to remove manually. This malicious software give exaggarated reports about security risks, spyware infections, privacy violations using alert baloons, error messages and browser hijackings. The purpouse of this strategy is to force users into purchasing the full version of the program. If your computer is already have AntiVirus 2008, most probably it was installed by trojan horse (Zlob, Vundo).This malware can steal your peronal data, using security backdoors, it also may seriously damage your computer.

if you have a microsoft operating system ( Windows XP,Vista)

then this is a scan made by microsoft itself, it pretty much removes everything bad from your computer ( Trojans, Viruses, Spyware) and also protects it from future attacks, and helps improve your computers preformance. Its really great i use it all the time, and best of all its free!!

Only one who got it right is Sly Old Mole...go with Malwarebytes anti malware, works every time....and it's FREE

AntiVirus programs will NOT remove this, and as for AVG....bloated, slow and poor detection rates.  Avast is better.

Free software doesn't exactly have a good reputation of protection and deleting of such viruses.  You'll need proper software such as Norton or McAfee

download another free antispyware instead of spybot. btw spybot is pretty good and it should detect antivirus 2008. have you tried updating spybot and then running a scan? it should help.
