  1. 1. probably one to two hours!

    2. Just pick your favorite color! or pick the colors of your favorite sports team!

    3. they just clean your teeth, and pretty much glue the brackets on and place wires over the brackets then add the colors!

they will hurt for probably a week after you get them on!

    Hope I Helped!

  2. im gonna get them soon. but my sis has them in clear. u could barely see them!

  3. ok one chill

it isn't that bad and two it takes up to an hour to an hour and a half the glue on the brackets on each tooth and then place in the wires and the rubber band peices and I would go with silver or white ...bright colors are fun but they turn out to be gross

also brush everyday after EVERY MEAL! because your teeth with cach food

and DO NOT CHEW GUM OR STICKY CANDY

it ruins the braces and your alignment

  4. When I got my braces it took about 2 minutes to get them on. And it doesn't hurt. As for colour, it's all about your preference. I had to get them in grey though. :(

  5. Ok, I got mine May 13, 2008.

    1.  For me it took about 2 hours, 40 minutes.

    2.  You should get white.  It looks much cleaner and better than other colors.

    3.  At first I was scared, too, but it didn't hurt at all.

First they clean your teeth, and make your entire mouth dry.  Then they put this weird rubber thing in to keep the mouth open, so I suggest wearing tons of lip balm!  They put on the braces glue stuff, and put on the brackets on the top.  They do the same for the bottom.  The final step is putting on the wires, which are inserted into the brackets, and twisted in at the ends so it doesn't poke you.  For a few days it will hurt a lot, but you'll get used to it.

  6. dont worry. you'll be fine

  7. okay well it takes lik 10 minutes to put them on.. its rly not tht bad at all.. well maybe 15 minutes but idk i didnt time it

umm u should  get lik a blue shade or green ..

and well pretty much they just clean ur teeth a bit then put this glue stuff on and DO NOT swallow it ... its nasty!! and then the put them on and stuf.. its been  awhile so i dont remember rly.. but it doesnt hurt at all .. dont be scared =] good luck

  8. I know just how you feel!  I was scared to death to have braces put on, but honestly, it's really not been bad at all.  It took an hour and a half from start to finish.  They first fit me for the bands on my back teeth and then put a plastic device in my mouth to hold it open.  They packed some cotton in there to keep everything dry and then basically just glued everything on.  I recommend "smoke" colored ligatures.  They don't stain and blend really well with your teeth.  Your teeth will definitely be sore and it will be a while before you feel like you can chew normally.  Eat soft stuff, like pasta, soup, pancakes, scrambled eggs, milk shakes, etc.  And don't worry, you will do great!

  9. There's nothing to be scared of. It will probably take about 2 hours. It will be very uncomfortable so take a couple of Tylenol or Advil right before they start. You can get any color you want, even 2 colors. Hope this helps, Good Luck!

  10. 1. how long does it take to get the put on (im getting top and bottom regular braces)

    1. The appointment could be 1-2 hours because of course the orthodontist will have to tell you a bunch of things

    2. what color should i get

You'll probably be allowed to get 2~ they pretty much have every colour in a few different shades so they would hve like navy and gold and shades of green and stuff...

    3. will u tell me the ENTIRE process of getting them on, like everything

Kay I got mine on like 2 years ago but this is what I remember:

 So you get there your orthodontist looks at your mouth and talks about stuff to you and your parents.. they'll like put the drool bib thingy on

Then the orthodontist will put these funny cheek stretchers on your Cheeks and lips it's really weird and if you have dry lips it may hurt (it's pretty much just a plastic thing that holds your lips away from your teeth)

Then the orthodontist will clean your teeth and polish them off (dont get scared by the polisher thingy it may look scary but it's just to smooth your teeth)

 Then they'll probably start to glue the brackets on (you know the things that stick up on your teeth that the wire get's attatched to) they'll put the glue on with a needle (dont be scared) and they'll put the bracket on and dry it with this thing that shows blue light

 after all of those are on they will put the thing on that wraps around your molars... which hurts ALOT they pretty much just shove the band (that's what it's called) over your tooth which can sometimes hurt! (PS they may do this before they glue the other brackets!)

 Then the orthodontist will attach the wire to your braces with elastics (the elastics are coloured) which hurts! lol you'll feel yanking!

Thats it! dont worry it'll be fine!

  11. 1. The top takes about 45 minutes, and the bottom about 45 minutes too. (Atleast, that was how long it took me.)

    2. Whatever color you'd like, they have plenty to choose from. I suggest not getting white, because they stain. Dark colors are great, I have black and purple right now.

    3. They put glue on your teeth and put them on! No big deal. They don't hurt until after a couple of hrs for the next few days to weeks. Stick to soft foods. Example: Mashed potatoes, jello, pudding, milkshakes, mac n cheese, basically something you can chew without discomfort.

Also, they should discuss everything you need to know about cleaning and taking care of them.

    Good luck!

  12. It hurts so freaking bad it's not even funny.

Like seriously, I'd rather give birth.

Naw I'm just kidding. I've never had braces, but it should be fine. I had to have a root canal, (probably worse then braces) and it wasn't that bad. I was FREAKING out though. They gave me some type of gas... lol I can't remeber what it was called, not laughing gas, but it's so cool. You don't care about anything.  It feels like your floating, and your arms and legs get really heavy. It's pretty cool. Lol. If you're even half as nervous as I was, I would suggest you talk to the dentist about letting you have the gas stuff I had. (I really wish I could remember what it was called, lol) Hope I helped! 13. Don't be too scared! :] Your fears can really increase during the process of putting them on because you will start to worry more due to the fact that you can't see what the dentists are exactly doing.

    1. Overall the process should be an hour and a half to two hours.

    2. You can get whatever you want, there are about twenty possibilities. You should start out with a color you can stick to for a month.

    3. First, they take a plastic/ metal brace to keep your mouth from closing. Second, they will place separators between your back teeths to create space for orthodontic bands. Then, the dentist will place a non-toxic glue on the brackets to leave on your individual teethes. Sometimes they take out one or two teeth as well. Next, they take the wiring and from side of your [usually] upper teeth to connect all the brackets on the upper jaw. The same goes for the bottom. Though they do all the separators, brackets first, then the wiring, and so on.

Don't be worried, it won't be that painful! It will hurt the next day though. Tylenol is your best friend. Plus, put on the wax that they give when you are irritated. They will also give you a booklet to help you during the eating stage :] GOOD LUCK
