Freaky wierd babysitting man...?

Question

So i went to go babysit at a new persons house, and it was from an advert i put up in the shop window so i didnt know the people.

But anyway, when i got there it was just this man about in his 30s. He said that his kids werent back yet so if i just wanted to wait for a bit then they would be there soon.

So i was there for like half an hour and he was just chatting to me but he was a bit wierd and i felt kind of uncomfortable because his questions were kind of wierd.

So then after like an hour i finally was like um where are the kids etc and he was like oh ill go find out and rang someone and then came back and was like ohhhhh sorry they are held up so it looks like you wont be needed, you can stay for a bit longer if you want though.. But i left lol

So then i went home and he has called and asked if i can babysit on Friday.... not sure whether to go?! (Im 14)

I do really need the money!

No!!!!!Do not go.Trust your instincts.Definitely tell your parents about the way he acted and how you felt.They can check him out with the police to see if he's a registered s*x offender.There is a way to do this on line but can't remember how.

He should have offered to pay you for the time you spent waiting.It was not your fault the kids did not show.

Do NOT go!!!!   That sounds really wierd and suspicious.  If you even remotely think its legit, have your parents go with you.  But honestly, I think the guy is a wierdo.  trust your instincts!

That's one thing you need to think back on. Did it look like a home that a few children live in...

If you can't remember seeing any toys at all or any signs that a child lives there currently, I wouldn't go back. If you did see some signs that children do indeed live in that home, I would go back but not without one of my parents...

No! it could be legit but certainly not worth the risk. He may not have any kids. A few bucks means nothing if you are raped, murdered and thrown in the woods.
