the club’s poor run of form.
John van den Brom guided the Arnhem outfit to an impressive seventh place finish on the Eredivisie table in the 2011/12 season before leaving the club to take over the managerial hot seat at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/RSC-Anderlecht-c40394.
The Eredivisie outfit were looking for a perfect candidate, who could achieve good results in the 2012/13 season, and the club management see the former Schalke boss as the perfect man for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.
Rutten, who started his professional coaching career at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede in the summer of 1999, was extremely delighted after signing a one-year deal with the Arnhem outfit.
The Dutch mentor confessed that the ambition of the club convinced him to take the job while heaping praise on the Arnhem outfit.
“I was convinced to take the job after watching the club’s ambition. It is a beautiful club with many promising youngsters, who can certainly shine at the highest level. I think it was my destiny to work here at GelreDome Stadion”,
the Dutchman was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The vastly experienced manager, who had impressive stints at Twente, PSV and Schalke but failed to win silverware, went on to insist that the club have set some goals, and he will try his level best to succeed.
“I have been assigned some goals, and I will try to achieve them. Let us hope that we both come to a successful campaign at the end. I have sorted out everything, and I am prepared to lead Vitesse”, Rutten concluded.
Stanley Menzo and Albert Capellas will remain active as assistant managers. Both have worked under John van den Brom and previously with Albert Ferrer as well.
Rutten will be hoping to impress at his new club, and win silverware by the end of the 2012/13 season.
