The Eindhoven giants’ boss expressed his delight following the win over the Turkish outfit in the first-leg of UEFA Europa League’s round of 32.
On Thursday, February 16, PSV Eindhoven claimed an impressive 2-1 victory over Trabzonspor in their Europa League round-of-32 first leg at Huseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu.

“We controlled the game pretty much for the 90 minutes, although we conceded a goal. All in all, the team put in a mature performance”,
Rutten was quoted as saying to the media in the post-match press conference.
The Dutch mentor then went on to express confidence that his side now has a good chance of progressing through to the next phase of the competition.
“It is hard to dominate a game from start to finish also because Trabzonspor improved after the break. We have earned a vital away win and have a good chance of progressing to the next round. We must be wary of complacency, though: there is still the return
leg in Eindhoven”, Rutten concluded.
